Midrash Lab 3

The third edition of our Midrash Lab project aims to increase Jewish literacy while promoting a creative engagement with the classical text. The success of the previous editions clearly demonstrated a need for alternative/innovative educational models in the Jewish community. The project combines a deep understanding of traditional Jewish text with an original, personal interpretation that reflects the state of consciousness of the reemerging Polish-Jewish community.In the upcoming Midrash Lab 3 year we will organize 5 educational segments, composed of educational sessions during which we will deepen our knowledge of the source text of the Ten Commandments as well various commentaries and relevant texts from the Jewish Tradition. Each segment will culminate in an Artistic Laboratory, during which will focus on creating an artistic expression of what we have learnt (art midrash). The midrashim planned for this year include:  an educational play for children (puppet show) about Aseret HaDibrot, an art installation employing various art disciplines or a modern musical rendition of traditional kinot. All this in the upcoming year, we hope to see you there!
